Description
The Smarald® anti-limescale shower filter DF-008 is the compact version: only 136 mm high. It is screwed between the tap and the shower hose; its cartridge with ion-exchange resin and zeolite binds part of the hardness minerals in the shower water and can thus reduce limescale deposits on the shower head, fittings and shower screen.
The effect decreases with use – so replace the cartridge regularly. The replacement cartridge DF007-EK01 can be reordered at any time.
At a glance:
- Housing 136 × 65 mm, compact design
- Cartridge DF007-EK01: Ø 49 × 83 mm, ion-exchange resin and zeolite
- Connection: 1/2" female thread at the top (tap), 1/2" male thread at the bottom (shower hose) – fits standard taps and shower hoses
- Tool-free installation, seals included
- Replace the cartridge after 6 months at the latest, sooner with hard water or frequent showering (guide value: approx. 8,000 litres of flow)
Prefer chrome with a blue ring? The DF-007 is 160 mm high and uses the same cartridge.
Which anti-limescale shower filter is right for you?
| DF-003 | DF-007 | DF-008 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Housing | slim: Ø 50 mm, 175 mm high | 65 × 160 mm, chrome-plated with blue ring | 65 × 136 mm, compact |
| Cartridge | DFT-EK03, Ø 36 × 110 mm (approx. 112 ml), ion-exchange resin | DF007-EK01, Ø 49 × 83 mm (approx. 156 ml), resin + zeolite | same as DF-007: DF007-EK01 |
| Suitable if … | the tap is close to the wall | there is enough space to the wall and you want a larger cartridge | there is enough space to the wall but little height |
Measure before you buy: the distance from the centre of the tap outlet to the wall. DF-003 needs at least approx. 3 cm, DF-007 and DF-008 at least approx. 4 cm. If it is tighter, use the 45° angle fitting (DFZ-0006) together with a 1/2" double nipple (male thread on both ends). Please note: the filter extends the distance between the tap and the shower hose by its height.

Keine Kalkflecken mehr in der Dusche,TOP gerne wieder!!!
„A very sturdy, recommendable shower hose. Very important and decisive - is the very sturdy - - INNER hose - probably a nylon material combination, which can easily withstand several twisting movements. My previous - cheap - shower hoses had a very simple, very thin rubber hose, which burst twice after intensive use, causing the annoying water mess. I therefore bought 3 of these at once.“

„Quality and fast delivery really pleased me!“
