Description
Article Description:
The Smarald® resin is a strongly acidic cation exchange resin in sodium form with faster exchange kinetics and a higher capacity than conventional resins. It exhibits a gel-like granulated textured sulfonated polystyrene structure. The softening resin shows excellent stability against pressure stress and osmotic shock. It is approved for use in the food and drinking water sector and can be used for all commercially available water softening systems, both for water filters or aquariums, as well as for resin replacement. Smarald® Resin is easily and effectively regenerated with commercially available regenerating salt tablets (table salt).
Function:
Ion exchange resin is with sodium ions (Na+) occupied. When hard water (tap water) is passed over the resin, the "hardness minerals" present in the water, calcium and magnesium ions (Ca2+ / Mg2+) against the sodium ions (Na) present on the resin+) exchanged. The lime is thus removed, and the result is soft water.
Application
For various types of water treatment, drinking water dispensers and water supply systems, aquarium, agriculture, industry, etc.
An important note:
It is recommended to replace all water filters at the latest after 6 months according to the to switch according to the Drinking Water Ordinance according to DIN 1988, Part VIII, regardless of how many liters of water have flowed through your shower filter.
The shower filter in the Smarald Wellness shower head lasts for about 8.000 liters. If more than the prescribed maximum amount of water is used within 6 months, or if the water is heavily polluted, this becomes noticeable through a significantly reduced water flow.
In case of a longer suspension from operation
If you cannot use your shower filter for an extended period (longer than 4 weeks), it is recommended to replace the shower filter in the Smarald Wellness showerhead. Alternatively, the filter can be cleaned, disinfected, and stored dry before the suspension of operation. After the pause in use, the new cartridge can then simply be inserted and the filter put back into operation.

Keine Kalkflecken mehr in der Dusche,TOP gerne wieder!!!
„A very sturdy, recommendable shower hose. Very important and decisive - is the very sturdy - - INNER hose - probably a nylon material combination, which can easily withstand several twisting movements. My previous - cheap - shower hoses had a very simple, very thin rubber hose, which burst twice after intensive use, causing the annoying water mess. I therefore bought 3 of these at once.“
