Shipping & payment information

1. Prices and shipping costs

All prices listed in the Smarald® online shop include statutory value-added tax, where applicable. Any additional shipping costs will be stated separately.

The shipping costs applicable to your order and the total amount will be displayed to you before you finalize your order.

2. Delivery areas and shipping costs

We ship to Germany, all member states of the European Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the United Kingdom and Norway, as well as to many countries in North America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa and to Australia. You will find all destination countries in the country selection at checkout. Shipping costs depend on the shipping method, the destination country and the total weight of the order:

Within Germany, shipping is free for orders with a merchandise value of €97.00 or more.

Deliveries are made by DHL or Deutsche Post (DHL Group) or – if you choose it – by GLS. Within the DHL shipping method, we reserve the right to choose the specific service (e.g. DHL parcel, DHL small parcel or Warenpost) according to the size, weight and cost-efficiency of the shipment. The shipping costs and delivery times shown are not affected; every shipment is tracked.

During the ordering process, you can select your delivery country from the available country selection. Any delivery restrictions will be shown to you at the latest at the beginning of the ordering process.

The shipping costs for your order are automatically calculated based on the selected delivery country, the ordered goods, and the available shipping method. Before you finally submit your order, the applicable shipping costs as well as the total amount including shipping costs will be clearly and separately displayed to you.

The specified shipping costs include the statutory VAT, if applicable. Information on possible additional import duties for deliveries outside the European Union can be found in the section "Deliveries outside the European Union".

3. Availability and delivery times

The availability and delivery time of our goods are displayed on the respective item in the online shop. Unless a different delivery time is indicated there, the delivery time is 3–5 working days.

Any differing delivery times applicable for the selected delivery country or the chosen shipping method will be communicated to you in the online shop and at the latest before the binding submission of your order.

Working days are considered Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays at the place of shipping or delivery.

For payment in advance, the delivery period begins on the day after the payment order is issued to your bank. For other payment methods, it begins on the day after the conclusion of the contract.

When ordering multiple items with different delivery times, we will inform you before completing the order about the combined delivery or planned partial shipments and the respective applicable delivery times. For partial shipments initiated by us, we do not charge any additional shipping costs.

If an agreed delivery is delayed, we will inform you immediately. Your legal rights remain unaffected.

4. Deliveries outside the European Union

For deliveries to countries outside the European Union, additional import charges, particularly customs duties and import taxes, may apply. To the extent that these are to be paid by the recipient and are not explicitly included in the total price, they are borne by the customer.

These charges are not collected by us. You can obtain information about them from the responsible customs and tax authorities of the country of delivery.

For shipments to countries outside the European Union we do not charge German VAT. Item prices are therefore shown without VAT during checkout.

5. Payment methods

For your order, the payment methods currently offered in the online shop are available. The payment methods accepted for your order will be displayed to you at the latest at the beginning of the ordering process and can be selected there.

The availability of individual payment methods may depend in particular on the delivery country and the requirements of the respective payment service provider. The terms applicable to your chosen payment method, especially regarding due dates and payment processing, will be communicated to you before you submit your order bindingly.

Prepayment by bank transfer

If advance payment is offered and you select this payment method, you will receive our bank details and payment information as part of the order process. Please enter the provided order number as the payment reference when transferring. Shipping will take place after payment has been received within the specified delivery time.

Payment via payment service provider

When selecting a payment method offered via a payment service provider, you will be guided through the respective payment process. Information on payment authorization, debit, or due date will be provided to you before completing your order.

As far as a payment method requires a credit check, this will be explained for the respective payment method. Information on the processing of personal data can be found in our privacy policy and the additional privacy notices of the respective payment service provider.

6. Returns

Information on exercising your legal right of withdrawal can be found on our page "Right of Withdrawal & Withdrawal Form".

In the event of a withdrawal, you bear the direct costs of returning the goods, provided that we have properly informed you about this before you placed your order and no different cost coverage has been promised.

Your statutory rights in case of defects remain unaffected. In the case of justified claims for defects, we cover the transport and return costs that we are legally obliged to bear.
